Would have dozed off and skipped English classes a lot in High School had it not being for the gripping stories of Chinua Achebe (1930-2013).

Even though his books were often read in the monotonous voice of my English teacher, the plots in his books were captivating enough to keep anyone wide awake. No wonder we read one book intermittently over the course of a semester: that way you didn’t know when to skip class.
